BMW series 1

There are two big changes in the 1 Series for 2011. BMW has dropped the dual turbocharger; in its place is a single twin-scroll unit. Engine power remains the same at 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, but it now reaches peak torque at 1200 rpm. Second is the addition of BMW's coveted 7-speed DCT transmission which is available for the first time in the 135i.

BMW 7 Series

The BMW 7 Series is a line of full-size luxury vehicles produced by the German automaker BMW. Introduced in 1977, it is BMW's flagship car and is only available as a sedan or extended-length limousine. The 7 Series traditionally introduces technologies and an exterior design theme before they trickle down to smaller sedans in BMW's lineup.

BMW Series 5

The BMW 5 Series is a mid-size / executive car manufactured by BMW since 1972. The car, now in its sixth generation, is sold in sedan and touring body styles.
It is BMW's second best selling model after the 3-Series but represents about 50% of the company's profits.
On January 29, 2008, the 5 millionth 5 Series was manufactured, a 530d Saloon in Carbon Black Metallic.
The 5 Series got its name by being the fifth of the "new series" cars after the V-8 and Isetta era. The preceding models were the 700, the "New Class", the "New Six" 2500/2800/Bavaria and the CS. The 5 Series was intended to replace the older New Six sedans.

BMW Series3

The BMW 3 Series is a compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker BMW since May 1975. Successor to the BMW New Class, it has been produced in five different generations and in no less than five different body styles. It is BMW's best selling vehicle, accounting for nearly 40% of the company's car sales in 2005.
The E21 line was produced from May 2, 1975 (1977 in the USA) through 1983. Originally a replacement for the BMW 2002, the first 3-Series was a two-door saloon model only. A factory authorised cabrio version was also built by Baur. The series was superseded by the BMW E30 series.

BMW X1 Series

The BMW X1 is a crossover compact SUV manufactured by BMW. It extends the current BMW Sports Activity Series model lineup which now comprises the BMW X1, BMW X3, BMW X5, and the BMW X6.Though BMW hasn’t confirmed all of the details for the American-market 2011 BMW X1, we can safely assume a few particulars for the finished product. Styling, for example, will be in the X3/X5 mold, with big wheels for a relatively high stance, plus typical brand visuals from the “twin kidney” grille to geometric taillights. BMW’s all-wheel xDrive should be available, along with the 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that powers the 128i coupe. We wouldn’t look for the twin-turbo version of that engine for X1, but it’s a definite prospect for the redesigned X3 that’s also due in 2010. Transmissions should be BMW’s customary 6-speed manual and optional 6-speed automatic.
